Customer Service Representative

Steiner Tractor Parts is a forty plus-year old customer service driven tractor parts supplier located in Lennon, Michigan. Steiner Tractor Parts is an eCommerce fulfillment company that provides after-market new parts for agricultural antique and classic tractors for both retail and business to business customers. Steiner Corporate Headquarters is located at 1660 South M-13 in Lennon, approximately 11 miles outside of Flint, Michigan area. We are easily accessible from I-69 at exit 123, then 1 mile north on M-13 (Sheridan Road)

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) positionwith Steiner Tractor Parts plays a key role in the success of our customer experience.  This position is primarily responsible providing superior customer service to our retail and business to business customers. The CSR is responsible for answering a high volume of inbound phone calls from potential or current customers to process orders, returns and exchanges for antique tractor parts, answer inquiries and questions, troubleshoot problems and provide information utilizing a software system to guide the order process.

The CSR a full-time position, with working hours; Monday-Friday 9am-6pm with a minimum of one Saturday a month from 8am until 12pm. This is a non-exempt, hourly paid position with a range of $12 to $14 an hour based on proven skills, experience and knowledge with overtime paid at time and half over 40 hours.

Key Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Display professional telephone etiquette and communication skills under all conditions and circumstances 
  • Answer inbound calls, meeting call volume and quality parameters in accordance with internal guidelines 
  • Handle customer inquiries both telephonically and by email providing customers with tractor part and shipping information.
  • Research required information using available resources
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints by identifying, evaluating and providing logical solutions and/or escalate priority issues.
  • Take the customer through the sale process including upselling.
  • Enter new customer information into system and update existing customer information; complete and process records of interactions, orders and accounts
  • Maintain and build customer loyalty by follow up and call back of customer calls 
  • Ensures customer’s expectations are minimally met and maintained with the overall goal of exceeding customer expectations.
  • Contributes to organization success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results.

Preferred Key Competencies-not required but a plus!

  • Proven customer service experience providing superior customer service in a high-volume inbound call environment. 
  • Social media, email and chat content management communication experience
  • Ability to speak and write in Spanish and/or French
  • Knowledge of agricultural antique tractors
  • Above average proofreading skills

Antique Tractor Parts Support Technician

Steiner Tractor Parts, Inc. - Lennon, MI

Steiner Tractor Parts is a forty -year old customer service driven tractor parts supplier located in Lennon, Michigan.  Steiner Tractor Parts is an eCommerce fulfillment company that provides after-market new parts for Classic Tractors. In short, we sell new parts for old tractors.

The Tractor Parts Support Technician is a full- time position that provides customer support via phone to our customers to determine what part or part alternatives to order to make repairs to their antique and classic farm tractors. In addition, the Technicians also work to locate vendor, order special order parts, provide support to the Customer Service Representative Team and supports the Quality Control team with testing. The Tech position assists in providing accurate quotes, pricing and placing orders.

This position requires someone to have working knowledge of Agricultural Antique Tractor models and excellent tractor, mechanical and electrical knowledge.

Customer Service is Top Priority

This is a customer service facing position with a service mindset of customer satisfaction. This position requires skill in problem evaluation and problem solving. General phone operation, intermediate computer skills with basic data entry and web search skills are necessary. The successful candidate will have the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and troubleshoot daily.

Proven ability to commute to work on time and when scheduled--this is critical ability to work a full-time position, 40-45 hours a week with working hours; Monday-Friday 9am- 6pm and rotating Saturdays from 8am until 12pm.

The compensation offered for the position will be determined based on the employee’s proven skills, experience and knowledge for the position combined with the Steiner Compensation guidelines. This is a full time, non-exempt, hourly paid position with overtime paid at time and a half over 40 hours. The standard working hours are 40-45 hours a week.
